The execution of the merging technique is rather simple. To start, the user's must be of the same species, and must be in possession of their Zanpakutō. They stand back-to-back and pour an even amount of spiritual pressure into their sealed Zanpakutō . Then one user impales the area of their Saketsu Soul Chain, and the other impales the area of their Hakusui Soul Sleep. The action usually impales the sections of both user's, meaning those who intend to merge should be of similar height, or the Execution will go wrong and they will lose their spiritual powers.
When performed successfully, the technique will merge their bodies and Zanpakutō, essentially creating spiritual entity with far greater than either of the two "fusees". They're Zanpakutō's effects are also merged with them and the Zanpakutō gains a new name (usually an combination of both the old Zanpakutō's, and possesses all of their abilties. If a Vizard and a Shinigami merged, they will still have access to an inner hollow.
The merging technique is not permanent. It lasts only an hour and then the two users must wait a day before they can fuse again. If the technique is not executed successfully, it can either kill them or drain them of all spiritual power, making training to perform this technique nearly impossible and it should only be used as a last resort.
- This is highly based off of the Fusion Dance from Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Z.
- Vizards can fuse with Shinigami due to them being former Shinigami.
