The Lichtreich (光の帝国 (リヒトライヒ), Rihitoraihi; German "Light Empire", Japanese "Empire of Light") was the original domain of the Quincy that existed prior to the original blood war 1,000 years ago.[1] Along with his loyal followers, Yhwach had conquered the northern lands, spreading the domain of the Lichtreich to surrounding countries before they invaded the Soul Society. The Lichtreich is considered to be the precursor of the Wandenreich.
