Salamanca (サラマンカ, Saramanka) is the "first Hollow", a son to the Amatsu-Mikaboshi that was born shortly following the birth of the Kami. There is very little in even legend that tells of the Salamanca, but it is known in scripture that it was a beast of disaster that sought only destruction, occupying the same realm as the living and the divine. However, a powerful Shinigami of immense and legendary magical prowess arose to fend off this creature of chaos, sealing the mighty demon with a powerful spell. It was cast off into a nameless void of spacetime, where a new dimension entirely was created by the Shinigami to host this sealed beast: Hueco Mundo. Salamanca's prison became the moon that illuminates this white desert world, serving as the lynch pin that would keep it in a fixated state of being. It was later revealed that the beast had actually reincarnated itself onto the living world, in the form of Satori Kurokami.
