It had been nearly a week since Shunketsu's encounter with the mysterious enemy, and his discovery of the document left behind by Hideaki, and the Kido Captain was walking down the halls of his Headquarters, a stack of notes in his arms. As he passed by the library, his personal assistant, Sera, walked out, alongside the Kido lieutenant, Nanashi Hito. "Ah, good morning, Captain!" Nanashi said. "Hello, sir." Sera motioned as well.
"Hello, you two. This is rare, that you two walk together, what's the occasion?" Shunketsu asked jokingly. The two looked at each other, and then back to Shunketsu. Sera spoke up after a quick pause. "We feel that you deserve to know, [Content Removed]. She said.
"Ah, that's good to hear!" Shunketsu said cheerfully. "Perhaps I should [Content Removed] later on, when I'm done!" He finished.
"Speaking of which, captain, what exactly are you doing?" Nanashi asked, pointing at the papers. "Oh? I'm looking for anything I can involving the word 'fukkatsu', any mention in documents, anyone who knows the phrase, and I've sent a request to the twelve division, perhaps captain Furosuto knows something, eh? I'm still waiting for a response." He said calmly.
"Captain, sorry, but do you really think it's smart, going on a wild goose chase based on one word that some dead shinigami wrote 200 years ago?" Nanashi asked, skeptically. Shunketsu looked at him with a smile. "Of course I don't, in fact, I'll be genuinely surprised if this search yields any results whatsoever!" He said optimistically, shocking Nanashi greatly, his expression a combination of dumbstruck and disbelief. "C-captain!" He started, but before he could go on, an Onmitsukidō messenger appeared before the trio; "Sir! I have an urgent request from the Head captain!" He stated, head down. "Go on." Shunketsu said, calmly.
"Just moments ago, we lost contact with Captain Inku Himatsu in the human world! He was in pursuit of a dangerous Hollow, and then suddenly disappeared! Sir, the head captian is asking that you, [Content Removed], go in search of him, not only to find him, but also to [Content Removed]." The messenger relayed, as steadily as he could.
"Well, speak of the devil, eh?" Shunketsu said, though not as optimistic as he would normally. "Well then, thank you. You may leave." He said, the messenger rushing off, and then Shunketsu looked at Sera and Nanashi. "We'll continue this investigation later, understood? For now, I'm going to focus on the task at hand." He said, both of them nodded, before he himself rushed off.
Appearing in front of the Senkaimon gate, Shunketsu waited patiently [Content Removed]. The city was so alive, people went about their daily lives, shopping, talking to friends. It almost made Shunketsu cry with joy that they were all so easygoing. He made it out of the main shopping district, when he felt it; a rise in Reiatsu, that of a hollow...no, an arrancar, or something similar to it.
It looks like his friend has decided to show up again.
