Well, a few things. One, it takes place before Turn Back the Pendulum, about 20 years to be exact, around there. Secondly, it was supposed to give Akujin and Seireitou some form of past, to make his involvement in Ten's story make sense. Thirdly, like Barragon said, it is to make this story and Aizen's story match, for I believe Akujin and Aizen had some sort of relationship, so this sets the stage for Aizen's Hollowfications.

- I think Kogone meant "copy" as in it has too many similarities with the Turn Back the Pendulum in terms of events and the sequence it comes in (which is extremely close, to the last detail, if my memory serves me correctly: main figure's promotion, embarrassing entry, mysterious disappearances, investigation followed by hollowfication of the investigators, arrest, wrongful interrogation, false evidence that the interrogated is guilty, sentencing, masked persona coming in to the rescue happening to be a close friend, fast forward to present day with the Vizards moving out to take down the one truly responsible, etc.). I think you mean before the Turn Back the Pendulum, since Shinji and Hiyori were essentially exiled during the arc. --れび (talk to Lavi!) 02:43, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, well, firstly, a few things. One, Sei already is a captain at this time, not just newly appointed. Secondly, my Pendulum series will not consist of one story. I meerly used this one to be able to introduce my characters and canon characters in a similar way. My other stories involving the past will be different, for they will focus more on my fanon characters then the canon characters.
